Combs Family

We are Ken & Jenna Combs, just two regular people that decided to obey and answer the call to impact our little piece of the world for the Kingdom of God.  We were both born and raised in Southern California.  Ken worked in film and TV production and Jenna worked for local government in the area of Human Resources before moving to Virginia to be full-time missionaries with Rural Compassion.

Many years before, God planted a seed regarding the needs in rural Appalachia. We found ourselves dumfounded that in the United States people could be living in such dire conditions. As we continued to learn and grow, we knew God was calling us to be more involved in Appalachia.

We have two amazing daughters and a son-in-law.  William and Alyssa also live in Virginia and currently have fur-babies to keep them busy.  Anya is 15 and is in her sophomore year in high school, she is an artist and currently loves all things fashion.

WHAT IS A MISSIONARY?

Mis·sion·ar·y: A person sent by a church into an area to carry on evangelism or other activities, as community or Hospital:

We are Assembly of God U.S. Missionary Associates  working with Rural Compassion.

As U.S. Missionaries, we are responsible to raise our finances to cover all living expenses and ministry expenses. Our goal is to raise $2500 in monthly support by the end of 2023.  This is a breakdown of what we would need to reach our financial goal. Would you consider taking one of these monthly partnership slots?

  • 2 partners at $500
  • 3 partners at $250

  • 5 partners at $100

  • 5  partners at $50

Of course one-time donations are also very much needed and appreciated! They are what sustains our monthly budget and and allows us to complete various service projects throughout the year.

Your tax deductible gifts will be handled with complete integrity through our credentialing agency, the Assemblies of God, and under the accountability of our Rural Compassion Founder, Steve Donaldson. We strive to continue to live debt free and frugally to accomplish what God has called us to do - to serve rural Appalachia.

In closing, thank you for taking the time to read this, we hope you’ve hear our heart. If you would like to sit down and talk, we would love to connect with you.
